Section 504: Students with disabilities that substantially impact learning or other major life activities may be eligible for accommodations and related services. A parent may request an evaluation to determine if their child is eligible. Contact Mrs. Sklavos, 504 Coordinator, at csklavos@vcaidaho.org for more information.

Homeless: The liaison for homeless families with school-aged children attending Valor Classical Academy is Mrs. Loepp. Families experiencing homelessness may email mloepp@vcaidaho.org for information regarding educational rights, enrollment, and available resources.

English Language Learners (ELL): Our goal is to help students reach English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. To accomplish this, students identified as potential English Language Learners participate in an English language proficiency screening upon enrollment. If a student qualifies for ELL services, an individualized plan, including appropriate assessment accommodations, will be developed. Identified English Language Learners are required to participate in the annual ACCESS assessment until they meet the state’s exit criteria. For more information, please contact Mrs. Mitchell, Student Services Coordinator, at kmitchell@vcaidaho.org.

Special Education: Special Education serves eligible students ages 5–21 with identified disabilities who require specially designed instruction as outlined in an Individualized Education Program (IEP). If a disability is suspected of adversely impacting a student’s educational performance, an evaluation may be requested. For more information or questions, please contact Mrs. Mitchell, Student Services Coordinator, at kmitchell@vcaidaho.org.

Child Find: Valor Classical Academy is responsible for identifying, locating, and evaluating students enrolled in our school who are suspected of having a disability and may need special education services. If a child is experiencing significant difficulties with vision, hearing, speech, behavior, physical development, or learning, they may be eligible for an evaluation. Early identification and intervention are essential to supporting student success. For children ages 3–5 who are not enrolled at Valor, families may contact their local school district regarding developmental screenings. For assistance with a referral, please contact Mrs. Mitchell at kmitchell@vcaidaho.org.

Title I: Title I-A is intended to help ensure that all children have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic standards and assessments. For additional information regarding Title I services and resources available at Valor Classical Academy, please contact Mrs. Orozco at aorozco@vcaidaho.org.
