Volunteer Opportunities

Before the start of the inaugural year

Valor Classical Academy is seeking volunteers to assist with essential setup tasks as the school prepares to open. Opportunities include helping move furniture and curriculum materials into the school building, providing transportation for furniture and other items, setting up shelving, professionals with expertise in specific skills, and supporting various operational needs to ensure a smooth launch.

During the school year

Throughout the school year,  Valor Classical Academy will have the following volunteer opportunities.

1. Classroom assistant
2. Cafeteria
3. Facilities
4. School events (i.e. Classical Cup, Scholar Cup)
5. Putting your specialized skills and expertise to work for our students and school

Valor Classical Academy will maintain an approval list of volunteers for classroom teachers and our operations staff to draw from for these opportunities.   To be added to this approved list the following must be completed

1. Attend Volunteer Orientation.  Our first volunteer orientation will be on Sept 2 at 7 pm in the multi-purpose room.   This is a one-time requirement
2. Complete and pass a background check
3. Complete virtual training  (asynchoronous training via Vector Solutions).  This is an annual requirement
   • Food Service Civil Rights Training
   • Sexual Harassment/Appropriate Relationships
   • Other topics TBD
4.  Begin volunteering
